Colorado Property Tax/Rent/Heat Credit

Many Coloradans may be eligible for the Property Tax/Rent/Heat Credit rebate, also known as the “PTC” rebate, which is available every year. It has been available to Colorado residents since 1971. If you are a full-year Colorado resident, 65 years of age or older, or a surviving spouse 58 years of age or older, OR disabled, regardless of age — you may qualify for the PTC rebate. The rebate total is based on the applicant’s income and expenses.

Application for Automatic Extension of Time To File U.S. Individual Income Tax Return

If you are not able to file your federal individual income tax return by the due date, you may be able to get an automatic 6-month extension of time to file. To do so, you must file IRS Form 4868 by the original due date for filing your tax return (generally April 15). It’s important to note that submitting Form 4868 does not extend the time for payment of tax, which is still owed by the original due date of your return (generally April 15).
